Scope Details
Main task is break/fix which includes: 
  • troubleshoot, raise tickets, request/order and install replacement parts
  • Administrative support for an HPC environment.
  • Experience in Linux
From a Technical Perspective:
  • x-Dell resource preferably (to navigate support, knowledge centres, etc)
  • knows how to manage Dell equipment with recent knowledge of those supporting tools
  • Knows Open Manage Essentials
  • Knows IDRAC
  • Linux OS
  • Be able to do firmware/software updates
  • BIOS upgrades
From a Cultural perspective:
  • Know how to articulate very clearly, step by step logic and formalize frameworks to approach a problem; ie Box is down; what are the 20 steps that you should be considering
  • Has to be reactive
  • Needs to be proactive and logical
  • Instill confidence in the customer that I have your back (this customer is not at the data center; they need to trust that if this person is managing the DC, they are constantly thinking of ways to stay on top of the infrastructure)
  • Out of the box thinker
  • The candidate could have all the skill in the world, but if they cannot think on their feet, this is a no-go
  • They need to instill reassurances that they are doing everything they can in the best interests of the customer.
