Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Leader to drive innovation and lead a team in delivering cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. This role combines technical expertise, people management, and strategic planning, focusing on modernizing IT environments and delivering complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center transformations, cloud migrations, and automation, with a proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with sales to develop solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of technical professionals.
- Directly manage the team’s responsibilities, performance, and growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Zenfra, to ensure successful project execution.
- Technical Expertise:
- Work with multiple operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
- Leverage experience in command-line interfaces and infrastructure environments.
- Drive data center modernization projects, including migrations, upgrades, and transformations from on-premise to cloud.
- Architect and execute virtualization strategies in VMware and cloud environments.
- Utilize expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, DevOps CI/CD, and OpenShift.
- Implement automation and scripting solutions to optimize project outcomes.
- Project Leadership:
- Design, blueprint, scope, and deliver complex projects.
- Lead transition projects, such as VMware to Red Hat migrations.
- Ensure project objectives align with customer requirements and deliverables.
- Take ownership of end-to-end project delivery.
- Pre-Sales & Solution Development:
- Partner with the sales team to participate in calls, create Statements of Work (SOW), and develop tailored solutions.
- Act as a pre-sales engineer and solution provider, contributing to client presentations and proposals.
- Work with marketing and sales teams to generate social media content and drive team proposals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Align with business objectives by working alongside the sales team and leadership.
- Engage with customers to define project scope and ensure successful delivery.
- Balance technical responsibilities with techno-managerial tasks, contributing to both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Consultative Mindset – Be the voice of VTG in the respective business areas while engaging with customers.
- Requirement Translation – Translate customer requirements into project scope, estimate the level of effort, and help build cost/price structures for offerings and project delivery.
- P&L Ownership – Take ownership of the budget, manage the practice's P&L, and support revenue goals set for the sales team.
- Team Management – Lead and manage onshore and offshore team members, building a high-performance team of exceptional talent.
- Solution Development – Develop solution proposals, create GTM strategies, and work on sales collateral with the Marketing/Lead Generation team with respect to the technology practice.
- Industry Engagement – Conduct Tech Talks, Webinars, and Panel Discussions with industry experts while establishing a strong presence on social media.
- Product and Growth Mindset – Leverage team expertise to enhance the ZENfra product by collaborating closely with the engineering team and various automation initiatives.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Proven expertise in VMware, Kubernetes, and OpenShift architecture.
- Background in automation, scripting, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with data center projects, including migrations and upgrades.
- Managerial Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, train, coach, and upskill technical staff.
- Experience working as a senior consultant with a blend of technical and people management roles.
- Project & Sales Collaboration:
- Prior involvement in pre-sales activities and creating project blueprints.
- Ability to work with sales teams on client calls, solutions design, and social media strategies.
- Other Requirements:
- Prior experience delivering enterprise-level IT transformation projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with transitioning VMware to Red Hat.
- Experience with Zenfra or similar tools for project execution.
- Exposure to creating training programs and coaching technical teams.
