VMware Security Architect (L4)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMware
Security Architect (L4) to lead the architecture, design, and
implementation of secure VMware infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate
will have deep expertise in VMware NSX/vDefend, virtualization security, cyber
recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and AWS-based recovery solutions. This role
is responsible for defining the overall security architecture, ensuring secure
network segmentation, cyber vault isolation, and providing technical leadership
for enterprise infrastructure security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design
  and implement secure VMware infrastructure using VMware NSX and VMware
  vDefend.
• Develop
  and maintain enterprise security architecture for virtualized
  environments.
• Design
  and implement micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, and zero-trust
  security models.
• Architect
  cyber recovery and cyber vault isolation solutions to protect critical
  workloads from ransomware and cyber threats.
• Design
  and oversee disaster recovery (DR) replication strategies using AWS.
• Collaborate
  with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and security teams to ensure
  secure platform integration.
• Review
  existing VMware environments and recommend security improvements and best
  practices.
• Define
  High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Provide
  technical governance, architecture reviews, and implementation oversight.
• Ensure
  compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
  
• Support
  security assessments, risk mitigation, and incident response planning.
• Mentor
  engineering teams and provide architectural guidance throughout project
  delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+
  years of IT infrastructure experience with strong architecture expertise.
• 5+
  years of VMware security architecture experience.
• Hands-on
  experience with VMware NSX and VMware vDefend.
• Strong
  knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience
  designing micro-segmentation and distributed firewall policies.
• Experience
  with cyber recovery, cyber vault isolation, and ransomware protection.
• Strong
  knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning.
• Experience
  with AWS cloud services and DR replication.
• Understanding
  of Zero Trust Architecture and network security.
• Knowledge
  of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and security monitoring tools.
• Strong
  documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
