Automation Engineer (OpenShift, GitOps & Ansible)

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and validate pre-developed automation scripts in customer environments.
• Deploy and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
• Implement and support GitOps workflows using Git-based deployment methodologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, scripting, and deployment issues during site rollouts.
• Modify deployment variables for each customer site, including repositories, hostnames, IP addresses, and environment-specific configurations.
• Support deployments in air-gapped (offline) environments.
• Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Monitor deployment progress and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Document deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and configuration updates.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience implementing and supporting GitOps practices.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using Ansible.
• Experience troubleshooting automation and deployment failures.
• Familiarity with YAML, Git, and Linux administration.
• Experience deploying infrastructure or applications in air-gapped environments.
• Knowledge of configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
