Scope:
- This is a 3 node Windows Hyper-V cluster. It is currently running with a few dozen VMs. Each of the 3 nodes is a Dell Poweredge 6526 with 4x1.9TB SSD drives. Customer states that they were expecting 23-25TB of usable space for the cluster to run VMs. Currently, the configuration is only providing 1/3 of that. Cluster is seriously storage constrained. CPU and RAM are more than sufficient for needs. Customer desires the two following outcomes:
- Expand usable storage space to a minimum of 23-25TB with a "want" of 60TB usable. Customer is not sure how this will be achieved and needs WWT to provide design and engineering expertise. Can Hard drives be added internally to each Hypervisor host? Is an external DASD solution required? What is best?
- Review current cluster design and ensure best practices are being followed. Best design for continued growth. Suggestions if any on configuration changes that will be beneficial.
