Project Overview:
- This role is scoped for 240 hours with the project set to start shortly, aiming for completion by the end of February, with a break during the holiday season. The primary objective is to assist in the implementation of ServiceNow's Service Graph Connector for Dynatrace to improve the accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Service Graph Connector Implementation:
- Install and configure ServiceNow’s Service Graph Connector for Dynatrace.
- Set up dependencies and configure endpoints, credentials, filters, and multiple Dynatrace instances as required.
- Validate data imports and address systemic issues, ensuring no duplicates or erroneous data.
- Work with Dynatrace and ServiceNow OEMs to resolve platform-related bugs.
- CSDM Alignment:
- Review and analyze the CMDB structure and data alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) best practices.
- Perform a gap analysis and document findings for recommended improvements.
- Data Transition and Maintenance:
- Develop scripts for migrating and renaming auto-generated data.
- Create documentation for ongoing procedures to maintain system accuracy.
- Testing and Cutover:
- Perform basic testing to ensure successful implementation.
- Oversee the cutover process to transfer the solution to daily operational support.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Engage with client teams to define roles, responsibilities, and project objectives.
- Provide updates on project progress, identify risks, and address challenges.
Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow and Dynatrace integration.
- Proficiency in CMDB and CSDM best practices.
- Ability to analyze data structures, troubleshoot, and validate system imports.
- Strong technical documentation and scripting skills.
- Effective collaboration with client stakeholders and technical teams.
Duration: Approximately 240 hours, with flexibility to accommodate holiday breaks.
