About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Datacenter Facilities Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient and scalable rack and cabling solutions within our datacenter environments. This role requires a deep understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs for datacenter racks and cabling systems, ensuring optimal space utilization, airflow, and cable management.
- Infrastructure Implementation: Oversee the installation and configuration of racks, cabling, and related infrastructure components.
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations comply with industry standards and best practices, including TIA/EIA, BICSI, and other relevant guidelines.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all designs, installations, and modifications.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for datacenter infrastructure issues related to racks and cabling.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving datacenter efficiency, reliability, and scalability through innovative design solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in datacenter design and architecture, with a focus on racks and cabling.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, cable management tools, and datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) systems.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CDCDP, or similar are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
